Nestlé Toll House Issues Cookie Dough Recall Over Wood Chips

If I were a betting girl, I'd say you would rather there not be wood chips mixed into your chocolate chip cookies. That's what's got Nestlé issuing a recall of their famous Toll House cookie dough.

Walnuts, yes. Wood chips? No thanks.

Two batches of 'break and bake' Toll House cookies are being pulled off store shelves, 6abc.com reports, because they could potentially be contaminated with small amounts of wood.

The recall, voluntary on Nestlé's part, reportedly affects Toll House cookie dough produced in April.

Nestlé USA says they were made aware of the wood chips by a handful of consumers. Thankfully, no one's been hurt of sickened as a result.

The contaminated Nestlé Toll House cookie dough that could potentially include wood chips contain the following batch codes: 311457531K and 311557534K.

Nestlé recommends disposing of the dough if the batch numbers above match what you have at home, or you can it to your point of purchase to receive a replacement or a refund.
