Lottery Player Who Bought $1.13 Billion Winning Ticket in Neptune, NJ Remains a Mystery
The ticketholder of a lottery ticket sold in Neptune, NJ in March remains a mystery because they've yet to come forward and claim the historic $1.13 billion jackpot.
Could it really be possible that someone who walked into a grocery store on March 26, 2024, is now a billionaire (yes, BILLION, with a B) and doesn't even know it?
I've often played the lottery here in New Jersey and failed to go back and revisit the ticket to see if I had any winning numbers. Tickets end up in my car cupholder, at the bottom of my purse, or stuffed into a wallet.
Winner of $1.13 Billion Lottery Jackpot Remains Unknown in New Jersey
Or could it be that the winning ticketholder of a historic $1.13 billion jackpot know they are, in fact, a WINNER and is just holding off on revealing themself?
That's what the New Jersey Lottery is trying to find out.
Jersey Shore Supermarket Sells $1.13 Billion Winning Lottery Ticket
The winning Mega Millions ticket was reportedly purchased by a lottery player from the ShopRite supermarket on Route 66 in Neptune Twp., NJ, located in Monmouth County, according to Patch.com.
The ticket matched all six numbers in the Mega Millions drawing from Tuesday, March 26th. Those numbers were: 7, 11, 22, 29 and 38, and gold Mega Ball 4.
That $1.13 billion Mega Millions drawing stands as the largest lottery jackpot ever won in the Garden State, according to Patch.com, and the fifth largest in U.S. history.
The Neptune Township ShopRite store that sold the winning ticket has reportedly already received their $300,000 bonus from the New Jersey Lottery. So, where the heck is the actual winning ticket HOLDER?
According to New Jersey Lottery, winners have one calendar year to claim their prize.
Maybe if you're the winner you can buy yourself (or already have bought) a sprawl like this mansion recently purchased in South Jersey by Philadelphia Eagle Dallas Goedert. See inside below.
