For the 12th time in his major league career, Millville High School alum and Los Angels Angels outfielder, Mike Trout is an American League All-Star.

The 34-year-old Trout was the lone member of the Angels named an All-Star when the initial rosters were announced Saturday night, and he will start the game for the 11th time in his career.

"Just want to say thank you fans for voting for me to get in the All-Star Game," Trout said in a social media video.  It means a lot to me and my family, this one was on the list for awhile and I'm super excited to go there, go see my friends, my family, and obviously compete."
