24 people are looking for new places to live following a fire at a small apartment building in Wildwood Wednesday evening.

The blaze started just after 7:00 at 233 East Youngs Avenue.

The first group of firefighters at the scene reported smoke and fire showing from the third floor and attic of the three-story structure while officers with the Wildwood Police Department quickly evacuated the building.

Crews were able to place the fire under control within 15 minutes and they managed to contain the blaze to that upper unit, however, the rest of the building suffered smoke and water damage.
