A veteran 20-year superior officer of both Pleasantville, and Atlantic City, New Jersey public safety departments has passed away.

About Captain Andrew Panico, his former Pleasantville Fire Department colleagues said:

It is with deep sadness to inform you of the passing of our former Captain Andrew Panico. His dedication and service to our department have left a lasting impact, and he will be sincerely missed by all.

Andrew Panico, 49, was also a former Lieutenant of the Atlantic City, New Jersey Beach Patrol.

Panico’s former Atlantic City Beach Patrol colleagues wrote the following about him just days before he passed away, following a short time in hospice care.

We urgently seek your support for Andrew Panico, a cherished member of our community who has served as a dedicated Pleasantville firefighter and Atlantic City Beach Patrol lieutenant for over two decades. Andrew is currently in the hospital, battling kidney and renal failure, and his condition is critical.

Having devoted over 20 years to keeping our community safe, Andrew now needs our help. The funds raised Will go directly to supporting his family during this challenging time, alleviating the burden of medical bills and related expenses. Your generosity will make a significant difference in providing comfort and assistance to Andrew and his loved ones.
