
NJ Man Faces 15 Years in Prison for 100 MPH Fatal Crash in Hamilton Twp.
A South Jersey man is facing over a decade behind bars in connection with a high-speed fatal crash in Hamilton Township nearly two years ago.
On Tuesday, 32-year-old Stephen Sirch of Voorhees Township pleaded guilty to first-degree aggravated manslaughter and three counts of third-degree assault by auto. He will serve an aggregate term of fifteen years in state prison.
Fatal Black Horse Pike Crash
According to the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office, on the afternoon of April 3rd, 2024, Sirch was involved in a crash on the Black Horse Pike near High Bank Road in Hamilton Township. His vehicle struck another vehicle, which then collided with a third.
The driver of the first vehicle, 29-year-old Karina Castillo of Pine Hill, was pronounced dead at the scene. Three people in the other vehicle sustained serious injuries.
Investigation Findings
An investigation revealed that Sirch was travelling at approximately 100 MPH at the time of the crash and he was under the influence of multiple substances, including fentanyl.
Sentencing is scheduled for March 30th.
