
PA Teen Charged After Allegedly Displaying Shotgun in North Wildwood
North Wildwood, N.J. — A teenager from suburban Philadelphia is facing charges after police in North Wildwood said he displayed a shotgun during an argument over the holiday weekend.
Police Respond to Argument Involving a Shotgun
The North Wildwood Police Department said on Sunday, its officers responded to the area of 2100 Surf Avenue for a report of an argument involving a firearm.
It was reported that a person, later identified as 18-year-old Noah Linderman of Swarthmore, PA, "retrieved a shotgun from a vehicle and displayed it to a group of subjects involved in the altercation."
Witnesses Restrained Suspect Before Officers Arrived
According to authorities, as officers responded, witnesses stated Linderman hid the shotgun inside a vehicle. After placing the shotgun in the vehicle, Linderman was restrained until police arrival.
Police: Search Warrant Leads to Shotgun Recovery
Police executed a search warrant on the vehicle and they allegedly located an Ithaca-model 37 shotgun and ammunition inside.
Linderman was charged with Possession of a Weapon for Unlawful Purpose and Unlawful Possession of a Weapon. He was placed on a warrant per state bail reform guidelines and taken to the Cape May County Correctional Facility.
