Lee Brice to Release Sophomore Album ‘Hard to Love’ in April
Lee Brice‘s highly-anticipated sophomore album on Curb Records is set to hit stores in April. The new collection of tunes will be titled ‘Hard to Love,’ and, according to the singer, will be packed with plenty of music that is his most honest to date.
“I’ve never been more excited about my music,” Brice told Taste of Country last month. “I was able to really go in with a lot of leeway from the label to make the record I wanted to make. We ventured out and did some really cool stuff … hopefully it’s cool. It’s definitely different. Either way, it’s just really honest. I’m just really excited about that part of it. Musically, I’m a very diverse person, so there’s a lot of different types and angles of music on this record … different flavors of it. I’m just excited for people to hear it and tell us what they think.”
So far in his career, his fans have definitely liked all that has come from Brice, including the tunes he penned for other artists, like Garth Brooks‘ ‘More Than a Memory’ and Eli Young Band‘s ‘Crazy Girl.’ In fact, Brice’s own hit single ‘Love Like Crazy’ was named Billboard’s 2010 Song of the Year, and he claimed that title again in 2011 for ‘Crazy Girl.’ Besides giving Brice another chart-topping single as a songwriter, ‘Crazy Girl’ has also earned him a nomination for Song of the Year at the 2012 ACMs.
Brice’s current single, ‘A Woman Like You,’ continues to build momentum on the charts, as well as on iTunes. The song recently was the No. 5 most-purchased song on iTunes, selling over 30,000 singles a week.
