Oh Yeah! Matthew Broderick Brings Back Ferris Bueller For Super Bowl Ad [VIDEO]
Last week we saw Matthew McConaughey reprise his role ‘Dazed and Confused’ slacker Danny Wooderson in a music video, and now it looks like the nostelgia will continue with Matthew Broderick playing his iconic Ferris Bueller character for a new Super Bowl ad.
In a brief teaser that hit the web this week, a middle-aged Ferris opens some curtains and says “How can I handle work on a day like today?” After that the date of the Super Bowl flashes as Yello’s ‘Oh Yeah’ (aka, the ‘Ferris Bueller’ “chick chicka ah” song) plays.
There is no indication as to what Ferris will be hawking (Abe Froman sausages? Ray-Bans?), though Jalopnik says it’s for Honda. (Also, it’s anyone’s guess if Cameron and Sloane will also make appearances. Or how about Charlie Sheen popping up at the end of the spot?)
You can watch the teaser below, and we’ll throw in the McConaughey/Wooderson video too, so you can judge which no-longer-so-young actor most resembles the youthful character which made him a big star.
