American Country Awards

Pistol Annies — comprised of Ashley Monroe, Angaleena Presley and Miranda Lambert — helped mix up the typicality’s of the 2011 American Country Awards by performing their debut single, ‘Hell on Heels.’

Scotty McCreery accepted his award for New Artist of the Year at the 2011 American Country Awards and proceeded to rattle off his thank yous like he’d been doing it since he was 12-years-old. “My first award and it’s a dad-gum Telecaster,” the ‘American Idol’ winner said before thanking fans and his management team. He even remembered to give a birthday shout out to his mother.

The 2011 American Country Awards winners were announced on Dec. 5 in Las Vegas, and though it was only the second annual event, the A-list country music star showing proved that this is one awards show that’s here to stay. With so many beautiful faces and even more talent, handing out awards to name the best of the best is no easy feat.
