The World’s Largest and Most Valuable Coin
While you're fighting with the soda machine at work trying to get it to take a regular ol' nickel, the Perth Mint in Australia has made what is believed to be the world's largest and most valuable coin in the world. This giant coin weighs-in at 2,000 pounds and contains $55 million in gold. This coin is legal tender, however, it only has a face value of $1 million, which means you would lose 98% of its value if you made a purchase with it. The Perth Mint really isn't concerned about someone stealing it as even the mint itself has a difficult time moving and storing the coin.
