Authorities in Galloway Township say a dispute between two groups of people near a restaurant Sunday night resulted in two teenagers being shot.

The incident happened around 8:30 in the area of the Hoon King Chinese Restaurant near the intersection of Wrangleboro and Collins Roads.

The Galloway Township Police Department says they first received word of the disturbance from the Atlantic City Police Department which told them that two people with gunshot wounds were being treated at Atlanticare Regional Medical Center-City Division and the shooting had taken place in their municipality.

Dispute Leads to Shooting

An initial investigation revealed that during a dispute between two groups, "a handgun was brandished and several shots were fired."

Two victims, a 16-year-old male and a 17-year-old male, both from Pleasantville were wounded and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

It is believed that the shooting is related to a specific incident between the two groups and there is no current danger to the public.
