The free Blake Shelton and Lady Antebellum concerts on the beach in Atlantic City were simply awesome... now, there's news that there could be almost a dozen huge concerts at Boardwalk Hall next year.

The Press of Atlantic City is reporting the CRDA is working with Live Nation (they produce a lot of the huge concerts that come through our area) to bring ten "big-name" shows to Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City next year.

Now, before I go any further, it's important to note that we don't know how many of the shows (if any) would be from country groups and it's safe to say that these shows won't be free like Blake and Lady A were. However, as Atlantic City continues to shift from relying on casino gaming to drive the city to more entertainment-based events, this is big news for our little seaside resort.

So, in the event that people from CRDA and Live Nation read this, let me make a suggestion: Garth Brooks! If you're gonna go big, you might as well go big! Could you imagine Garth Brooks in Boardwalk Hall? He will be on tour next year and if CRDA wants to put Atlantic City on the map next summer, he's the guy to do it!
