Last night, Atlantic City city council unanimously voted to drop the "Always Turned On" marketing slogan for the city.

Almost a decade ago, Atlantic City dropped it's "World's Famous Playground" positioner in favor of a more Vegas-like "Always Turned On." While the city offers the ocean, beaches, and the thrill of casino gaming, the slogan never really fit the city. Now, in 2012, Atlantic City is returning to "World's Famous Playground," as it better fits a city that's rebuilding its image.
