I live off Ridge Avenue in Egg Harbor Township. If you're not familiar with it, you may have heard of it's other name, "The Ridge Avenue Race Track."

It's not uncommon to see cars barreling down the two-lane road at somewhere close to the speed of light.

Over the years, township officials have tried to slow up cars by reducing the speed limit on parts of the road - but, when people are racing at 60+MPH with their eyes closed, they probably don't see those speed limit signs.

Thankfully, another step is being taken to make the area a bit safer. A four-way stop will soon be implemented at the intersection of Ridge and Mill Road. Currently, traffic on Ridge has to stop, but those on Mill are free to.... well, be free and easy.

My question to Egg Harbor Township officials (or county or state officials - whoever is in charge) is: what about the other edge of Ridge Avenue? The intersection of Ridge and West Jersey Avenue has got to be one of the most dangerous intersections in the township. Actually, the intersection of West Jersey and EVERY ROAD is dangerous.

I urge officials to please look at slowing up traffic on West Jersey at Ridge. A four-way stop? A traffic light?

So, thanks for the help - but, can we have some more?
