A Minnesota man, identified as a "musician and band manager" has been charged with attempting to lure a 14 year-old girl to his hotel room and for engaging in criminal sexual contact.

According to Atlantic County Prosecutor Jim McClain, Daniel P. Jorgensen, 30, of Minneapolis, Minnesota has been indicted on two charges by the Atlantic County Grand Jury.  The charges are attempt to lure or entice a child and criminal sexual contact.

The State alleges that Jorgensen made contact with the juvenile on the internet and by cellular phone, and encouraged her to come to Atlantic City where he was working as a musician and band manager on August 29, 2013. The State further alleges that Jorgensen committed the criminal sexual contact on an Atlantic City beach, and tried to lure the girl to a hotel room and to the band’s tour bus, with the purpose of having sexual intercourse.
An investigation by the Atlantic City Police Department led to the charges on April 28,2015.
After indictment, Atlantic County Superior Court Judge Bernard E. DeLury set bail on the warrant upon indictment at $100,000 cash or bond.
