Bogus Florida Georgia Line on Atlantic City Beach Post Continues to Fool

FACT: Florida Georgia Line is coming to Atlantic City.

FICTION: Florida Georgia Line is playing a free beach concert in Atlantic City.

A Facebook Event Page that popped up last year continues to fool people today.

After a couple of successful free Atlantic City Beach concerts last summer, an event-post popped up on Facebook, promoting that Florida Georgia Line was doing a free beach concert in Atlantic City this summer.

The post noted that Florida Georgia Line would be playing in Atlantic City on the beach in July, "if there is interest from 100,000 fans."

Not true.

Apparently, anyone can post anything on the internet, whether it's true or not. The event-post appears to have been made by "The Secret Society of Social Drinkers" - whoever they are.

The bottom line is that, yes, there appears to be some sort of beach concerts coming to Atlantic City this summer, although no artists have been announced.

The good news, if you're a fan of Florida Georgia Line, is that they will be at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City this Friday Night! At last check, there were a very limited amount of tickets available.
