Bridgeton Police, following up a tip, found a Bridgeton woman's body on a river, and quickly charged a local man with her murder.

Police say the body of Tracy L. Dubois, 37, of Bridgeton, was recovered off Grove Street near the Cohansey River early Friday morning.

Police say Patrick Spann, 39, of Bridgeton," was taken into custody late Friday morning and charged this after afternoon with murder, desecration of human remains, tampering with physical evidence and other related charges."

Bridgeton Police Chief Chief Michael Gaimari, Sr. says police first received a 911 call about the body location, and they did an extensive search before finding the body.

According to police, the suspect and the victim did know each other. They are refusing to release a possible motive in the killing at this time.
