I have been to Pearl Harbor on the island of Oahu in Hawaii twice.  I challenge anyone to go there and not shed a tear. It's a very somber place, a place of reflection.  Both times that I have been to pearl Harbor, there was a survivor on board.  Both times, the survivor got a standing ovation when he was announced over the loud speaker.

I found this article on CNN.com, it's worth reading and listening to.  There aren't many survivors left.  Let's make sure the next generation of Americans understand what this day stands for.  Read and listen here.
