Authorities in Atlantic County are investigating the circumstances behind a man's death in Galloway Township.

Shawn P. O'Neill, Jr., of Galloway Township Found Dead

At around 2:45 Wednesday afternoon, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office says Galloway Township Police received a call regarding a dead man in a home on the 400 block of South Odessa Avenue.

At the scene, officers located the victim, 42-year-old Shawn P. O'Neill, Jr., of Galloway Township, inside the residence with several wounds to his body.

The cause and manner of O'Neill's death are pending an autopsy.

Officials did not elaborate on the type of wounds O'Neill had.

The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office's Major Crimes Unit is actively investigating this death in cooperation with the Galloway Township Police Department.
