Giuliana Rancic To Undergo Double Mastectomy

Guiliana Rancic will undergo a double mastectomy to treat her breast cancer, according to People.com.  She and her husband Bill Rancic made the decision to have the double mastectomy after lumpectomies failed to completely eradicate her breast cancer. They talked about it on The Today show this morning,

"For me, it was important to get the cancer out," she said. "That's what I wanted to do, just get it out."

They said that they discussed another lumpectomy and radiation.  But they are choosing the more drastic option of a double mastectomy because they want to be sure the cancer is completely gone.  According to her doctors, it's less likely that the cancer will return, less than a 1 percent chance.
