If There Was Only a Way That I Could Eat My Coffee Cup…

If you've ever said that, (a) that's just weird, and (b) you might be able to soon. No, I'm not joking.

The folks at KFC over in the United Kingdom are developing what they are calling a "scoff-ee" cup that will allow you to enjoy your favorite hot beverage and then eat the cup it comes in. The cup is made of a special type of biscuit then wrapped in sugar paper and lined with white chocolate. As you drink your coffee, the white chocolate slowly melts and the cup -- which is also infused with different scents -- will begin releasing smells like coconut sunscreen, wildflowers, or even freshly cut grass (mmmm... I wish my coffee smelled like Kentucky bluegrass). The idea is that as you are enjoying your get-up-and-go in the morning, the scents will invoke some relaxation qualities, and then you can have a little snack in the form of eating the coffee cup.

And while this may sound bizarre, if you think about it, it's really not that different than getting an ice cream cone or something. Sad news, though... the soffee cups are likely to only be sold at KFC locations in the UK; the company has no plans to sell it here in the States.
