Help appears to be on the way for those who have been or will be affected by Atlantic City casino closings.

The largest casino in Maryland, Maryland Live! will hold job fairs on both August 1st and 2nd at the Sheraton across from the Atlantic City Convention Center.

Some 50 Atlantic City workers were hired by the Maryland casino back in January, when a similar job fair was held after the Atlantic Club closed. Officials from Maryland Live! hope to at least match that number.

With the closings of the Showboat on Aug. 31 and Trump Plaza on Sept. 16 looming, and the possible shutdown of Revel if a buyer isn't found soon, as many as 8,000 local casino workers could be unemployed by fall.
