When he helped St. Jude founder Danny Thomas raise funds for the hospital, Sydney’s great-grandfather had no idea he would be directly helping his great-granddaughter receive lifesaving care in her hour of need. “Maybe he was kind of looking out from above, to send us here,” says Sydney’s mom, Sarah.
