The Miss America Pageant is to Atlantic City what the Liberty Bell is to Philadelphia.  Just not quite as old.

News came out yesterday that the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority gave "$11.25 million in subsidies to the Miss America pageant," according to NJ.com.

One important marketing strategy of the deal is that Dick Clark Productions, which handles the promotion and marketing for the show, must promote Atlantic City in other productions.

Brilliant!
