New Jersey Gas Prices Continue to Stay Low
Despite the fact that our fine Governor (and - to be fair - others in Trenton) wants to add a $0.23 gas tax... Gas prices in New Jersey are at a record low!
But why?
According to NJ.com,
What's driving pump prices down is a slide in crude oil and wholesale gas prices, which continued on Monday morning. Crude oil was priced at $43.76 a barrel and wholesale gas at $1.34 a gallon on the New York Mercantile Exchange on Monday morning, according to NASDAQ.
That's consistent with pricing predictions made by Tom Kloza, Oil Price Information Service senior petroleum analyst. Barring a hurricane shutting down Gulf Coast refineries, the market based price drops will keep coming through the fall, Kloza said.
Sounds promising! Especially for those of us that commute...
