Rascal Flatts are starting off a new year with a brand-new single. On Friday (Jan. 6), the country trio released "Yours If You Want It," the first single from an upcoming new album.

Written by Andrew Dorff (who passed away in late December) and Jonathan Singleton, "Yours If You Want It" is an an uptempo song in which a guy promises his love "every bit of love left in this / Beat up, banged up, scarred up heart" -- among other things.

"Every dollar, every dime, every drop of rain / Every single thing I could beg, steal or borrow / Every yesterday and tomorrow," the Flatts sing. "Well, every grain of sand on the beach / Every blade of grass under our feet / Baby, your name is written on it / And it's yours if you want it."

"We all felt like "Yours If You Want It" was the perfect way to introduce our fans and radio to the new music we've been making,” Jay DeMarcus says in a press release. “We’ve been working really hard, and we're very proud of this track, and what's more, the late Andrew Dorff is a writer on it, and we are so honored to be a small part of making sure his legacy lives on. We have a special angel watching over it, for sure.”

Rascal Flatts last released a new studio album, Rewind, in 2014. In late 2016, they released a Christmas project, which they were recording while working on their next new record.

“We’re getting songs together, and it’s really coming together awesome,” Joe Don Rooney told The Boot in the spring of 2016. “We’ve really got some amazing songs already in the can, and we can’t wait to start cutting the new record.”

"Yours If You Want It" is available for download on iTunes.
