A 280-pound Loggerhead turtle was rescued from an Avalon beach Monday evening.

The turtle is said to be "sluggish" while the Marine Mammal Stranding Center runs some tests to see how to treat the amazing creature.

In a weird twist of the circle of marine life...  According to NJ.com,

Also Monday, the Marine Mammal Stranding Center released into the ocean a Kemp's Ridley sea turtle which had been rehabilitated at New England Aquarium. It was transported to Cape May County to be freed in warmer waters.
