When the CMA Awards rolled around in 2001, our country was still in shock from the September 11th attacks.
It’s Cat Fight — two new songs fight-it-out and your vote helps determine the winner! This evening at 6:00, Alan Jackson is going for his third win with "You Go Your Way," with Kix Brooks' new song, "Bring It On Home," standing in his way.
Alan Jackson has had great success as a tried and true country artist. Newer acts, like Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood and Miranda Lambert, have scored their success by straying from the old-fashioned country sound. But Jackson says he won’t go that route. The 53-year-old country legend plans to hold steady with his down South sound.
We’re used to seeing our favorite country stars in the spotlight, but deep down we know that it’s the kiddos at home — in addition to the fans — who keep the music fresh and the artists on tour. That’s why we’ve assembled a list of country music’s most famous mothers and fathers alongside their children, as an ode to the little families they’ve got behind the scenes, the ones dearest to their hearts.
Alan Jackson lives in a house full of women, and along with that territory comes a lot of delight — and some major drama every now and then. In a recent interview with radio station Q106 in Madison, Wisc., the country music veteran and proud father admitted to intimidating his daughters’ suitors when they come around.
Starting today (Friday morning) straight through Sunday night, you can find your favorite country star on TV!
