The Empire (State Building) Strikes Back [WATCH]
The same storms that came through our area yesterday evening also hit New York City. And also hit the Empire State Building, according to NJ.com!
The building itself is a lightning rod, meaning it was built to safely divert lightning to the ground.
The Empire State Building gets struck by lightning an average of 23 times per year!
Either way, actually seeing the building get struck by lightning is pretty darn cool!
