The Playground Gets Closer to Food and Music

The Playground, the former Pier Shops at Caesar's continues to take shape. New music and food venues should be open in a few weeks.

At a press conference today, Bart Blatstien, developer, introduced a couple of partners in the areas of music and dining. chef and restauranteur Jose Garces, and entertainment company head, Bryan Dilworth of Bonfire Entertainement.

Blatstein announced that the first phase of the Playground will open the weekend of July 4th. Highlighting the first phase will be T Street, an area with 5 different live music venues. In addtition, the 39N venue will be complete - which can hosts concerts, shows, and even boxing events.

On a tour of the construction area, Blatstein pointed out areas of the former mall that will soon have access to the outside, bringing in natural light, and allowing the public to take in the sun and sand.
