It seems like we can't go more than a day without hearing about a new store or shopping center opening in our area. Today, it's Egg Harbor Township's turn.

According to Shore News Today and the Egg Harbor Township Planning Board, two new stores were approved at a recent meeting.

First up, approval was granted for a new Dollar General store to be built at 3081 English Creek Avenue, which is just off of the intersection with West Jersey Avenue. A home, which is currently on that lot, will be demolished and a 9,300-square-foot store will be built in its place.

Secondly, the Black Horse Pike will be seeing some new retail. Approval has been grated for a Tractor Supply Company store to be built on the Pike at Ridge Avenue. This store will be almost 20,000-square-feet in size once the wooded lot is cleared.
