Woman Arrested For Pocketing Co-Pays at EHT Physicians Office

A Little Egg Harbor woman has been arrested for the theft of over $100,000 from her Egg Harbor Township employer.

Egg Harbor Township Police say that following an investigation, Elizabeth Embert, 44, was charged with the theft of patient co-pays over a two year period from her employer, Atlantic Gastroenterology.

According to police, "Embert was responsible for depositing patient co-pays and instead converted the money to her own use."

She was lodged in the Atlantic County Jail, being held on $75,000 bail
