Woman Struck and Killed By Bus in Vineland

A woman is dead after being struck by a bus in a shopping plaza in Vineland yesterday morning.

Vineland Police say Myriam Roman was walking in front of the bus when she was struck and killed. The incident happened in a shopping center at the intersection of South Lincoln Avenue and Dante Avenue, shortly before 8:30am.

The bus, driven by Dewey Vasser Jr. was not carrying any passengers at the time.

Police say Vasser said the bus was experiencing an unknown mechanical problem, and he was attempting to return the Sheppard Tour Bus to the bus yard to possibly obtain another bus.

Vineland Police continues to investigate.
