"Achy Breaky Heart" was released 20 years ago today.

The year was 1992: Euro Disney opened, Hurricane Andrew plowed across South Florida, Bill Clinton was elected President, and everyone was singing along to Billy Ray Cyrus.

Originally called "Don't Tell My Heart," this song was going to be recorded by the Oak Ridge Boys, but they turned it down because of the words "achy breaky." Billy Ray Cyrus released the re-titled, "Achy Breaky Heart," and it became his biggest hit. This song was nominated for Song of the Year for the 35th annual Grammy awards, but lost to Eric Clapton's "Tears In Heaven."
