We had an interesting question on our Cat Country Morning Trivia Contest this morning:

What TV show, on it's first episode, offered each participant a piece of land - a little more than a third of an acre?

The answer, the 1973 inaugural edition of "Superstars."

The show, which featured athletes from different sports battling it out in varies sporting competition was held in the planned community of Rotonda, Florida. Each participant was promised a parcel of land in the community to possibly build a home. Prize money was also awarded.

One of the "highlights' of the first edition of "Superstars" was the swimming competition, in which boxer Joe Frazier quickly discovered he couldn't swim....
