Cops: A.C. Teen Walks Into Hospital With Gunshot Wound, Drugs

A 17-year-old man from Atlantic City is facing charges after cops say he walked to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center with a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Authorities say around 10:00 Thursday night, officers were alerted to a teenager who entered the emergency room at ARMC-City with a gunshot wound to his leg. During an investigation, the juvenile was found to be in possession of 79 bags of heroin, 36 bags of cocaine, three grams of marijuana, and one spent shell casing.

The juvenile was treated and arrested upon his release. The investigation revealed that the gunshow was an accidental self-inflicted injury.

The teen was charged with three counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS) and two counts of possession with the intent to distribute CDS; he was released to his parent with a future court date.
