Officials in Atlantic County on Wednesday said four more people have died due to COVID-19.

The four who passed were a 71-year-old man from Atlantic City man; an 80-year-old Hammonton man; and two Northfield residents, an 82-year-old woman and a 97-year-old man. Three of the four were residents of long-term care facilities.

The four latest deaths bring the total number of fatalities attributed to COVID-19 in the county to 186.

Also on Wednesday, officials announced 18 more people have tested positive for the virus; 10 men (ages 2 to 60) and 8 women (ages 5 to 75).

Atlantic City, Mullica Township, and Pleasantville each had four of the new cases while Ventnor City had two. Absecon, Egg Harbor Township, Hammonton, and Linwood each had one.

21 more county residents have been declared cleared as recovered for a total of 1,330 of 2,622 cumulative cases.

Atlantic County will continue to provide COVID-19 testing by appointment for symptomatic county residents at the county public works complex on Route 9 in Northfield on Tuesday, June 23rd. For a complete list of qualifications and to make an appointment, visit the county's website.
