This past summer, Blake Shelton and Lady Antebellum free concerts brought tens of thousands to the Atlantic City Beach.

Are proposed concerts for next summer now dead?

The truth is... we don't know. This morning, though, it doesn't look good.

It was earlier this week that the Atlantic City Alliance said they were working on plans for two more concerts for the summer of 2015.

This morning, though, comes word that the Atlantic City Alliance is looking to disband. The Alliance is the cooperative marketing effort with representatives from the Atlantic City casinos. According to its website, "The mission of the Atlantic City Alliance, a non-profit entity, is to revitalize and rebuild Atlantic City’s reputation and to broaden the destination’s appeal beyond a gaming area to a multi-night, year-round destination."

Several news organizations, including philly.com,  are reporting this morning that the Alliance is looking to disband. It was the Alliance that paid for and sponsored the free Atlantic City Beach Concerts. By the time the artists were paid, and all other expenses were added up, the expenses probably topped $1 million for each show.

Again, we don't know for sure what will happen with the beach concerts in 2015, but right now, it doesn't look good.
