The state's "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" campaign is being credited for getting a wanted man off of the streets of Atlantic City.

Atlantic City Police say on the evening of December 13th, two officers were taking part in the statewide "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" campaign, which targets people who are driving while intoxicated.

While at a traffic signal, they observed a vehicle being driven by 23-year-old Deon Nance of Atlantic City fail to stop at a red light.

The officers stopped Nance at the corner of Montpelier and Arctic Avenues. Cops say he was unable to provide a driver's license, registration, or insurance card. He was found to have a suspended license and was arrested for an active warrant for his involvement in an armed carjacking that took place in Newark, NJ, in November.

Nance was arrested and remanded to the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
