Garth Brooks was serious about getting new music out soon: During a Q&A at the 2018 CMA Music Festival, the superstar dished on his new single and tour plans -- including telling those in attendance exactly when each was coming.

According to Brooks, he'll be sharing his brand-new single on June 18; more specifically, he'll reveal the single's title on that date, he explained during his June 11 episode of Inside Studio G, and the single itself will come the following morning (June 19). He told the crowd that the new track will be ... well, pretty darn country. Brooks shared that the new song began coming to life after the 2018 Country Radio Seminar, during a set in a Broadway honky-tonk.

"We were playing all the stuff that we used to play in the honky-tonks, and hearing it bounce off those brick walls and hearing those people sing along, I said, 'You know what? What we need is a good damn honky-tonk song.' So that's what we went to do," Brooks said. "This is one of those songs I can play all day long. I love this song."

Brooks went on to say that the song's vibe might be described as a mix of "Two of a Kind (Workin' on a Full House)" "meets "Ain't Goin' Down (Til the Sun Comes Up)' meets "Callin' Baton Rouge." I'm just gonna say that a seatbelt and a helmet might be nice on this one."

As far as that new tour Brooks is planning, that news will be coming on July 9. He called it "the biggest thing I've ever done on the road." Could this mean a world tour?

"It's safe to say it's the biggest thing we've ever gotten to be a part of," Brooks said during Friday's (June 9) Q&A. "We were approached probably about a year ago by some guys that had an idea, and what that idea is has become a reality.

"It's the biggest thing I've ever done in music. The biggest thing I've ever done in general has been to marry Ms. Yearwood," he quickly clarified, with a smile.

In addition to hinting that a new song and tour is on the way, Brooks also suggested that new live recorded music might be in the works: "Your voices [in the crowd during the last World Tour] sounded amazing, and I'm so excited because there's a version of live music that we're gonna attempt. It's called a 'fan mix'. If you sit in front of the left side of your speakers, it'll be mostly what the concert is. The right side will be mostly your voices."

Brooks went on to say that the recordings on the live record would be taken from a variety of different performances. "Places like Cincinnati, Seattle, Omaha, and of course, you can't do "Baton Rouge" without recording it in Louisiana, right? All those cities are in there. [The goal is] to take people where there back, to take people who never got to be there there, but I think mostly it's just a thank you. Now you're finally getting to hear it the way I heard it every night," he said.

Brooks first said that new music and a new tour were on the docket in early June, during an episode of his Facebook Live series, Inside Studio G, in response to fan questions. At that time, all he shared specifically was that the new music will be headed to country radio soon and that his next trek will be on a "whole different level;" Brooks also shared that he'll announce his next set of tour dates in chunks, rather than one city at a time, as he did during his 2014-2017 World Tour.

Brooks has also said numerous times that he's working on another studio album, to follow 2016's Gunslinger. Tour-wise, while on the North American dates of his World Tour, he shared that he was working on plans to get over to Europe and Australia.
