Johnny Cash was one of the most important musicians of his generation, and he had the real estate portfolio to go along with his success.
The legendary Man in Black owned a number of high-profile properties over the years, including a ranch in rural California that was the setting for a pivotal scene in the Cash biopic Walk the Line, when Cash's first wife, Vivian, storms out and takes their kids with her.
He and his second wife, June Carter Cash, later lived on a waterfront estate in the Nashville suburb of Gallatin, which was the setting for a number of high-profile gatherings over the years. Cash's legendary dinners often included fellow musicians from across all genres, artists, celebrities, politicians and dignitaries from all over the world.
Cash's holdings also included a home that he and June built for their son, John Carter Cash, and June's famous Carter family also owned a historic property in Nashville that was also a well-known gathering spot for a number of high-profile musicians.
