We take our pizza seriously here in New Jersey.

Many old-school pizza aficionados turn their noses up at some of the outrageous toppings used on pizza.

And with good reason.  For instance, putting pineapple on a pizza is an abomination, and should never be allowed.

Sometimes, when you see what people are putting on their pizzas, you have to ask, when does a pizza stop being a pizza?

I've created a list of some of the more unusual pizzas available in New Jersey.

I'll leave it up to you to judge the merits of these pizzas.

They have something they call, Breakfast Anytime Pizza that may as well be called a heart attack on dough.

Papa's Tomato Pies  19 Robbinsville-Allentown Rd, Robbinsville

Back in the day, the Trenton area was well-known for their Tomato pies. They were  Pizzas without the cheese.  They were delicious.

These days, people are talking about a creation called Mustard Pies.

These pies have spicy brown mustard between the crust and cheese and it's topped with tomato, and any other topping you desire.

The result is a unique taste that's very good.
