A Step-By-Step Narrative From The Atlantic County Sheriff’s Department About Finding A Missing Woman

On Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at approximately 12:30 p.m., the Atlantic County Sheriff's Office responded to a request from the Galloway Township Police Department to assist in locating a missing woman who was believed to be experiencing a medical emergency.
Upon arrival, members of the Atlantic County Sheriff's Office quickly gathered information regarding the woman's last known location. K-9
Officer Joseph Klienow and his Bloodhound partner, K-9 Keeper, were provided with an article of the missing woman's clothing to establish her scent. After presenting the scent article to K-9 Keeper, Officer Klienow gave the command, "Find 'em!" K-9 Keeper immediately picked up the scent trail and began tracking through the area with determination and precision. Within a short time, Officer Klienow and K-9 Keeper successfully located the missing woman in a wooded area off the White Horse Pike, where she had become stranded at the bottom of a drainage ditch. Their swift actions and exceptional teamwork led to her safe location, allowing first responders to provide the assistance and medical attention she needed, said the Atlantic County Sheriff’s Department.
