Fatal shooting: 21-year-old Gloucester Twp., NJ, man charged with murder
A 21-year-old man from Gloucester Township has been charged with murder in connection to a fatal shooting in Camden County last week.

Prosecutors say at around 5:30 on the afternoon of Tuesday, April 16th, officers with the Gloucester Township Police Department were called to a home in the La Cascata development off of Kelly Driver Rd. for a report of a shooting.
There, cops found 24-year-old Nasir Tart who had been shot; he was pronounced dead at the scene minutes later.
Following an investigation by detectives with the Camden County Prosecutor's Office and the Gloucester Township Police Department, 21-year-old Hasan Battie of Gloucester Township was identified as a suspect.
On Monday, the U.S. Marshals Service New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force took Battie into custody in Camden.

He has been charged with first-degree murder, second-degree unlawful possession of a weapon, and second-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.
Authorities did not indicate a motive for the shooting.
Battie is being held at the Camden County Correctional Facility pending a pretrial detention hearing.
The public is reminded that charges are accusations and all persons are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
