Jon Bon Jovi Donates Half A Million Dollars To Feed Ukrainian Refugees
It is no secret that Jon Bon Jovi and his wife Dorothea are super generous philanthropists and they proved that again this week. If you were wondering how you could help Ukrainian refugees, here is how you can follow their lead.
The Bongiovi family just donated $500,000 dollars to help feed the people of Ukraine. Governor Murphy and his family started an effort to raise 2 million dollars for the displaced people of Ukraine and their Middletown neighbor just so happens to be the rocker himself.
Phil and his wife Tammy donated $100,000 to the fund as well. Who else has already joined the cause locally? The Saker family owns multiple ShopRites in Middletown and they pitched in as well.
Many people are now coming together to help those suffering from the Russian invasion and adding to this fund.
It makes perfect sense that Bon Jovi would step right up to help since hunger has always been a cause close to his heart. If you are not familiar, he and Dorothea created their Soul Kitchen concept to feed those in need and to generate money for food insecurity. Customers who eat at Soul Kitchen pay whatever they want per meal.
Everyone always asks, “what can I do?” when it comes to a humanitarian crisis like this. If you would like to help feed Ukrainian refugees, you can contribute to "Together for Ukraine" right here.
Since I mentioned Jon Bon Jovi, I'm curious, have you seen his rest stop on the GSP yet? I pass it every day so I stopped to take some photos. It is actually really cool. Did you know that there is a Jon Bon Jovi hologram? Check it out!
