The new Atlantic City Blackjacks played their first ever home game in front of an announced crowd of 6,139 on Saturday afternoon at Boardwalk Hall.

Columbus recovered the opening kickoff and scored on its first possession, to take an early lead.  However, the Blackjacks responded quickly with a LaMark Brown touchdown run.

The teams then went on to trade touchdowns the rest of the first half, giving the Blackjacks led 21-20 heading into the locker room.

The Blackjacks would use defense in the second half, as defensive end Lynden Trail picked off a Greg Russell pass and rumbled his way into the Destroyers end zone with a pick-six, extending the lead for the Blackjacks to 42-27.

The Blackjacks would hold on to secured the first win in team history with a final score of 42-35.

The Blackjacks will travel to Washing D.C. to take on the Valor on Saturday, coverage on 97.3 ESPN begins at 6:30 with Nick Kosko and Coffee Jones from the Capital One Arena.
