I had the pleasure Saturday to take in the Atlantic City Blackjacks first-ever game in the Arena Football League. They made the short trip to the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia to battle the Philadelphia Soul in the season opener for both teams.

I must tell you - I had a blast!

It's one thing to watch an NFL game in the stands at Lincoln Financial Field. It's another experience to see fast, high-flying action of the Arena Football League!

From the moment the game starts, there is non-stop, thrilling action! The best part is it's right in front of you! It's not uncommon for the football to fly into the stands throughout the game - and, if it does, you can keep it!

There's definitely something for everyone at an Arena Football League game. There's always something happening, even when there's a break in the action.

Even though the Blackjacks lost, 48-41, Atlantic City was in the game the whole way. Almost every play in the AFL is a pass play, and teams can't punt.  Again, the hard-hitting action is right in front of you!

I'm no cameraman, but check out the opening kickoff and the Blackjacks first play from scrimmage:

(DISCLAIMER: I've been hired by the Blackjacks to be in the in-arena public address announcer for home games at Boardwalk Hall.)

The Blackjacks open up their home season this Saturday, May 4th at 3:30pm at Boardwalk Hall. Definitely bring the wife and kids - even if everyone isn't a football fan. I tell you, everyone will have a good time!

Find out more about the AC Blackjacks and get tickets here. I'll be looking for you in the crowd Saturday!
