New Jersey Governor Elect Is…

The polls have been closed for an hour now here in New Jersey and the votes are being counted.

Major news networks such as NBC, CNN, and ABC reported the Phil Murphy will be the next governor of the state of New Jersey with approximately 55% of the vote as of 9:00 PM. Kim Guadagno ended with approximately 43%.

Governor Elect Phil Murphy has held no other elected position. Murphy made a name for himself as a Wall Street executive. Murphy is a former ambassador to Germany.

The Governor Elect campaigned on a progressive platform. Murphy promised to legalize marijuana, make New Jersey a sanctuary state, and raise minimum wage.
