For the sixth day in a row, officials in Atlantic County reported the number of new COVID-19 cases in the teens.

18 to be exact on Thursday between 11 men and seven women.

Additionally, no new deaths related to COVID-19 were reported on Thursday. The countywide total stands at 228.

A total of 3,297 Atlantic County residents have tested positive to date. 1,866 of those people have been cleared as recovered.

The small number of new coronavirus cases in the county comes as states across the country continue to battle a COVID-surge -- however, NJ.com reports the Garden State is the only state in the nation to see cases drop for two weeks running.

Atlantic County will continue to provide COVID-19 testing at its drive-thru facility at the public works complex on Route 9 in Northfield next Tuesday morning from 9 to 11:30. Testing is now available for both symptomatic and asymptomatic county residents with or without a doctor’s script. Residents must make an appointment and provide proof of residency.
